Snowbound and Tattooed: Cabin Fever in Kansas City

Writer's picture: Nick YoungNick Young

Hey there, fellow artists and tattoo lovers!

It's Nick Young here, and let me tell you, the weather in Kansas City has been absolutely wild lately. We're talking full-on blizzard mode, with enough snow to make even a yeti say "brrr!" It's been a whirlwind of icy roads, school closures, and a serious case of cabin fever. I mean, even my dog is giving me the side-eye like, "Dude, seriously? Another walk around the living room?"

But hey, when life gives you lemons (or in this case, a snowdrift the size of Mount Everest), you make lemonade. Or, in my case, I break out the paints and get creative! As you can see from the photo, I've been channeling my inner Picasso and turning these blank canvases into mini-masterpieces. It's not quite the Sistine Chapel, but it's definitely keeping me from going stir-crazy.

Speaking of stir-crazy, anyone else out there feeling the cabin fever? It's like being trapped in a snow globe, except instead of cute little penguins, you're surrounded by piles of laundry and a fridge that's mysteriously empty. I swear, I've spent more time staring out the window at the snow than I have sleeping. And don't even get me started on the Netflix queue... I think I've officially watched everything. Twice.

But hey, it's not all bad. There's something kind of peaceful about being snowed in. It's a forced break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, a chance to slow down and appreciate the simple things. Like a warm cup of cocoa, a good book, and the fact that I haven't had to wear real pants in days. Winning!

So, if you're also braving the blizzard, hang in there! Embrace the cabin fever, get creative, and stay warm. And who knows, maybe you'll even discover a hidden talent or two. Just don't try to build an igloo out of frozen pizza boxes... trust me, it doesn't end well.

Stay inked, stay warm, and stay safe out there!

Nick Young
